No Basshoven Show tonight.
But every cloud has a silver lining, right?
Here's a brand new mix to make up for it.
Half an hour of future-synth-beaty-jiving to be had.

New Fleet Foxes single taken from the new alb's.
Judging from this, it won't be a disappointing second album.

SINDEN : FREE GUCCI II

Mo0re free tunes than you can throw a fish finger at.

Get is HERE

This tune is such a treat. Only a couple of minutes long though, which although is a crying shame, is also part of it's charm. Give me Jessie Ware over Katy B anyday.

Get your grubby mittens stuck into this.

New Tune from Yanaku, half of the greatness behind our latest show, The Yardboy Sessions, every Friday 8-10PM.

So, Calcium came out this morning.
Bought it, Obvs.

Have a listen to both versions, both magic in their own ways.

Obviously just going to be mixing the two into each other for 2 hours for the Basshoven sessions tomorrow. Hope you don't mind.

NEW SHOWS

We've got 'em, you want 'em.

So far so good this week as Playedio returns with not just it's regular slots from Basshoven, S.W.C & Filth, but with a few added extras that we're sure your love. Lots.

Firsy of all after the massive success of the S.W.C Xmas Special w/ THE STEPPAHS, we are proud to announce the launch of the EFRAFA Sessions w/ (Pass) & Apendro Steppah., every Monday LIVE from 8:00 -10:00 PM GMT.

If you didn't catch the first show, it was big.

Second addition to the weeknight bill we are proud to have join us Yanaku & Mr No Name, 2 producers // DJ's that have more tunes under their belt than thought humanly possible.
With their collaborative début album due for release in February, we're really exited to hear what they've got planned, with all things Dubstep, LIVE, every friday, 8:00 -10:00 PM.

And last but certainly not least, we've got a treat in store for you.

As of next Monday, we will be introducing our latest addition to the Playedio family, from 10:00 PM - 12:00 AM (straight after the EFRAFA Sessions) you can catch 'JAZZ IS SICK FM', hosted by Fanes, Tom Murphy (deaauuddd reaauddd suunnnn) & Guests.

Going to be sick.

So, stay tuned and all that.

Our next live events will be for PLAYEDIO'S 1ST BIRTHDAY, sometime in April.

I hope you all appreciate the magnitude of this by my use of Caps Lock.

Picked up a 12" of this new release from SBTRKT at Rough trade the other day. The vocals from Jessie Ware are ace, think we'll be seeing lots more from this girl soon.

Two things everybody needs to be fully aware of:

1)DEAD RED SUN just finished mastering their new version of 'Facility', a track which tears apart any pub/club/venue/house party from the second it begins.

It's incredible. Huge credit to Coach Road Studies for producing and mastering this puppy.

Even better, it's a free download, so head on over to thier bandcamp page to get yourself a copy.

And, 2)

What promises to be an absolute corker to end all corkers from French duo
Strip Steve & Das Glow, to be released on Boys Noize Trax.

I'm not quite sure when doing trailers for tunes became a thing, but whatever, it's pretty sick. And I know I'll definately be buying a copy come January 17th. I strongly recommend you follow.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

from Playedio.

Hope everyone had a banger.
Been a little short on the ol' blogging over the festive period, given.

2010 saw good things for Playedio, and 2011 promises great things,
with 4 weekly shows now in full swing, and more to come in the coming weeks, you can now keep up to date with your sound more than ever.

Things will really starten to liven up again in the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime here's a video that has no relevance to anything other than being sick. Oh, and a well beaut soundtrack.

Bring on 2011.

Unfortunately so to technical issues, Basshoven couldn't throw his usual Tuesday night session with week.

Hopefully you were out frolicking in the snow anyways.

See you next week.

If you managed to catch either of the last two Basshoven in session....sessions...then you might well recall me banging on about a chap called Fazhands. Hes a producer from North London who has some ridiculously good tunes out. And he's just released his latest E.P....On his very own record label...so he's got things pretty sorted as you might have guessed.

The record label is called METAMIMETIC (click for direct link to website), and it's current members include Sam Wilkes, SweetFA, TRE, ZX and Fazhands himself. The label brides itself on intellectual, forward thinking beats, often minimal with a dark ambience.

It worth keeping an eye on things over at Metamimetic, as not only are they throwing some sick parties (including a recent event at East Village that hosted none other than Electric Rescue from Boys Noize Records Trax) but they are soon to be starting a regular guest mix release which is set to have some corkers (including one from yours truly).

I strongly recommend grabbing a copy of the E.P, wroth every penny.
If you still need convincing then Ill most probably be playing it again on next weeks show just because I like it so much.

Click the cover sleeve below to be taken to junorecords.com and grab yourself a copy of
The Press Play E.P.

Did I mention I designed the album sleeve?

Party on.

Don't say we never give you anything, because there are literally shed loads of broadcasts available to download and listen to as you please from the Playedio blog, as well as S.W.C & Filth.

Get it whilst it's hot, the first Basshoven in session podcast, from the 23/11/10 broadcast.

Enjoy.
